Total Nutritional Therapy (TNT) was created BY physicians, FOR physicians. The Latin American Federation of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (FELANPE) has partnered with Abbott Laboratories to develop this two-day program. By learning more about clinical nutrition, physicians can help to reduce malnutrition and to speed up recovery among their patients.
The course includes
- 20 chapter manual
- 11 lectures
- 5 workshops
- 6 case studies
Chapter topics include
- macro- and micronutrient requirements
- optimizing nutrition in various disease states, including cancer and AIDS
- enteral and parenteral nutrition, accesses, and equipment
The workshops provide hand-on training in a small group environment to facilitate discussion and questions. No TNT class has more than 32 students to foster interaction between students and teachers and to provide individualized attention.
